The Champagne Life is a hosted Mother's Day weekend in Champagne, France: a small women's group trip for mothers, daughters, and friends, from BonVoyage Christine, a Washington, D.C. luxury travel advisory.
Three nights at LOISIUM Wine & Spa Hotel Champagne in the vineyards near Épernay, a day at Veuve Clicquot in Reims, a spa morning on Mother's Day itself, and a private picnic in the vines with lunch cooked over an open fire.

I'm Christine Phillips, founder of BonVoyage Christine, and I'll be with you in Champagne from the first toast to the last breakfast. I've hosted group journeys to Portugal, Turkey, Belize, and across Africa.
I don't plan group trips to destinations I haven't experienced. This weekend was designed with a Champagne-based sommelier with over 20 years in the region, and every property, table, and tasting was chosen with intention: generous, beautiful, and unfussy, the way the French actually celebrate.

Every detail is arranged. Your only job is to land in Paris.
Three nights at LOISIUM Wine & Spa Hotel Champagne, double occupancy, with buffet breakfast each morning.
Full Wine Spa access all weekend: heated outdoor pool, two saunas, steam room, relaxation lounge over the vines, and the spa's Champagne bar. Plus a 30-minute massage, booked for you and included.
Veuve Clicquot: a tour of the chalk cellars in Reims, a tasting, and lunch at the house.
A gift from Christine: something chosen for each of you, waiting in Champagne. You'll know it when you see it.
An afternoon in Hautvillers, the village where Dom Pérignon perfected his craft, with a tasting at a small family-owned grower.
A private Mother's Day picnic set for our group alone, gathered around an open fire in the vineyard, with lunch cooked over the flames and Champagne poured where it's grown.
Every meal from Friday's welcome dinner through Sunday's picnic lunch, with wine or Champagne poured at each lunch and dinner.
A Champagne-based sommelier who shaped this weekend with me, guiding our Saturday through the cellars, the tastings, and the vines.
Personal support from the day you book through your return home, and Christine and her team on the ground, start to finish.
Private transportation all weekend, including Charles de Gaulle airport transfers both ways.
Blue Ribbon Bags luggage protection for every guest: if your checked bag is delayed, it's tracked and you're compensated if it isn't returned within the covered window.
All taxes, plus gratuities for the hotel, our drivers, and every included meal.
What’s Not Included:
International airfare. Fly into Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) on Friday, May 7, where a private group transfer meets us. Plan to land between 9:30 AM and 12:30 PM for the group transfer; later arrivals make their own way to the hotel at their own expense. Flight options vary by departure city, so send me yours before you book and I'll tell you which one fits. If you'd like me to book your flights, just ask.
Travel insurance (strongly recommended; luggage protection is included, see below)
Sunday dinner (the evening is yours after the picnic; the hotel restaurant and spa bar are steps away)
Optional personal expenses and discretionary gratuities, including spa tips
Airline-imposed fees (ticketing, seat selection, or checked baggage)

Roommate matching is available on request; note it when you book. Traveling solo and want your own room? Ask about single occupancy before booking.
$500 deposit per person - non-refundable after 5 days

The balance is split into monthly payments, with the full balance due by April 1, 2027. Pricing is for payment by bank transfer; a card processing fee is added at checkout if you pay by credit card.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is not required but strongly recommended.
Your booking includes Blue Ribbon Bags luggage protection. It covers delayed or lost checked bags; it doesn't cover trip cancellation, medical care, or interruption. Right after your deposit, you'll be offered the option to quote and buy full coverage online.
For the fullest protection, insurance should be purchased within 15 days of your deposit.

No. This weekend is for mothers, daughters, and any woman ready to be celebrated. Many guests come to honor someone; some come to honor themselves.
Yes, and it's one of the best ways to take this trip. Book two places and share a room. All guests must be 18 or older.
Yes. Rooms are double occupancy, and roommate matching is available upon request. If you'd prefer a room to yourself, ask about single occupancy.
No. You fly into Paris Charles de Gaulle on Friday, May 7 (most U.S. flights depart Thursday, May 6), where a private group transfer meets us. Plan to land between 9:30 AM and 12:30 PM for the group transfer; later arrivals make their own way to the hotel at their own expense. Send me your flight options before you book and I'll confirm the one that fits, or I'm happy to book your flights for you. From the moment you clear customs, everything is handled.
About two hours by road. Our private transfer meets you at Paris Charles de Gaulle and brings you straight to the hotel in the vineyards near Épernay.
A $500 deposit reserves your place, non-refundable after 5 days, and the balance is split into monthly payments with the full balance due by April 1, 2027. Listed pricing is for bank transfer; a card processing fee is added at checkout if you pay by credit card.
Your $500 deposit is non-refundable after 5 days. After that, refunds are a percentage of your other payments, less non-refundable processing fees: 75% if you cancel by December 15, 2026, 50% by January 22, 2027, 25% by February 3, 2027, and none after that. You can also transfer your place to another woman at no charge before April 20, 2027. Full details are in your Terms & Agreement, and this is exactly what travel insurance is for.
The weekend runs with a minimum of 12 guests. If we don't reach it, you'll hear from me in writing by March 20, 2027, and receive a full refund of everything you've paid, including your deposit.
Yes. If you'd rather give this weekend than take it, ask about reserving a place for the woman who earned it.
Absolutely. Paris, the South of France, anywhere. Extensions aren't part of this journey, but designing them is what I do every day. Tell me when you book.
You're still welcome. Non-alcoholic options are available at meals and tastings on request, and the spa, the picnic, and the company are just as much the point.
Gently active. Expect cobblestones, stairs down into the Champagne cellars, and time outdoors in the vineyards. If you have mobility, dietary, or medical needs, tell me before you book so we can plan around them.
